Baram Field, The Next Morning

This incident happened more than 10 years ago, maybe almost 20 years ago.

HJ was working for a well-known Miri oil and gas company. That time, he was assigned to carry out workscoping for a project at the Baram field.



The workscoping team consisted of only about 5 men, and it was supposed to be a daily-tripping job, as there was no LQ at Baram.

However, the weather was very bad that day. The scheduled boat was postponed until the next day. So HJ was stuck there in the middle of the sea with no toothbrush, and no spare clothes. The men had to sleep in a porta-cabin, while waiting for the boat to arrive the next day.

The next morning, HJ was woken up by a strange sound. He distinctly heard a rooster crowing outside! HJ felt a chill pass through him. That was impossible, as there were definitely no poultry on the unmanned platform!

HJ is retired now, but he remembers that unusual morning even after so many years have passed. The morning he was woken up by a cock's crow in the middle of the sea.

According to HJ, there are many spirits out in the open sea and some things just cannot be explained.

Regular Camera Failure at Usukan Jetty, Kota Belud

BT stopped by with 2 of her friends (RS and LL) at Usukan Jetty at Kota Belud in Sabah, and they took some photographs there. Her friend, RS, had been there a few times before and had suggested that they went to check it out because he said that the jetty was very scenic.

Strangely, the photos that were taken looked like this:

This is the only photo that has been altered / tampered with (just to protect LL's identity). The photo is clear and looks fine. The following photographs were all white and maybe overexposed..

This shot was taken in the car, straight after getting in. The camera was back to normal after that.

At that point, RS suddenly recalled that he had tried taking pictures there before and his camera has been unable to take any photos there too.

Coincidence or "spirit interference" or something else?

I'm not sure if ghosts can be captured on photographs, but this is supposedly a genuine picture of a ghost.

This photo was taken at an offshore location (platform), from Workboat Ajang Hormat at Barton Field South Furious in Sabah waters* by an offshore oil & gas construction crew.

The supposed ghost is at the upper-right side of the photo. Can you see it?

Many offshore locations (especially the older platforms) are said to be haunted.

To this day, many workbarges and workboats are said to have prayers and "cleansings" performed onboard by local bomohs prior to mobilization.

House at the Matang Area

There's a big house in the Matang area, it's something like a clubhouse. It's often rented out to students or groups. The house is by the main road, on the way to the Matang Family Park. You can only see the gate from the main road, there's a huge compound surrounding the house, the grounds are uneven and hilly, and there's a stream cutting across the compound. There are many trees, and also some swings in the garden.

In the centre of the house itself, there's an open-air area with a swimming pool. There is a corridor around the pool, and entrance into the house was by one side of the pool, and the rooms were lined by the other side of the pool.

Quite a few years ago, a group of secondary school students from Sibu went to Kuching for a school club activity. There were about 10 boys and girls from Sibu. They rented the house and were planning to have a barbeque there.

They arrived at the house at around 4pm, so they gathered the food and started to get ready. 2 of the girls went to relax on the swings. After a while, one of the girls told her friend that she was hungry, so they left to look for food.

It rained very heavily that night. The students had the barbeque indoors, near the poolside. After the barbeque, the girls were sitting together on one side, and the boys were sitting on the other side.

Suddenly, there was thunder and a flash of lightning, and a girl screamed. It was the girl who was sitting on the swing earlier, and had wanted to go look for food. She kept screaming non-stop.

The girls went over to comfort her and ask her what was wrong. But the girl kept on screaming, and the boys got a bit freaked out. They told her that it's only thunder and lightning, and it wasn't necessary to keep screaming like that. After she stopped screaming, they all decided to just go to sleep.

The next day, they all asked the girl why she had kept on screaming like that, when it was only thunder and lightning.
The girl replied that "actually there was something at the end of the swimming pool." It was like a woman. And when the thunder and lightning struck, the woman flew across the pool and grabbed her leg!

They all thought she was kidding, until she showed them the marks on her leg. The marks were very obvious, but according to the girl they weren't painful at all.

She also told them that when she was at the swings, she had already seen that woman sitting on top of the coconut tree. And that was why she told the other girl that she was hungry, as an excuse to leave that place...

Water Pipes at the Old Toilet Block

This happened in St. Joseph's Secondary School in Miri, more than 10 years ago. During that time the old toilet block was closed for repairs. (The old block was the building next to the old school pond and next to the field.)

The water pipes in the old block were always turning on by themselves.

Edmund and his friend once went to turn off the water pipes. After they had turned off the water, they went away and made sure nobody went near the pipes.

Strangely, when they later went back, the water pipes were on again..

The Martial Artist

A martial arts team in Kuching regularly goes for runs through the Reservoir Park. There is a large lake in the park, and they run on the track beside the lake.

Once, many years ago, a team member took off his shirt after the run and dived into the lake to cool off. Suddenly, he appeared to have suffered muscle cramps and disappeared beneath the murky water. His fellow team mates dived in after him.

The water was murky and they had a hard time locating him. At last one of them found him. He grabbed the drowning guy's arms and pulled him upwards. However, he was unable to do so. According to him, he felt an even stronger force pulling the guy downwards...

They were unable to save him.

May he rest in peace.

Location: MAS training school, Kelana Jaya

The MAS training school is situated at Kelana Jaya, in Petaling Jaya. The training school is built beside a lake. The lake used to be an old lombong timah (tin ore mine).

The grounds are very big, and one block is provided for the accommodations of the MAS staff and cabin crew. It's like a hotel. The whole area is very quiet at night.

Some of the MAS staff who have stayed there during the training claim that the area is "dirty."

According to a staff member, a very pretty lady who was previously Miss Malaysia was killed by her husband and her body was thrown into the lake. However, nothing was ever proven.

A lot of stewardesses have also been said to have committed suicide there.
